Tri Sigma Mourns the Passing of Collegian Siena Marie Brachelli

CHAPEL HILL, NC—Tri Sigma is deeply saddened to announce that Siena Marie Brachelli, a new member at Delta Psi–St. Joseph’s University, passed away January 31, 2026. She was a 2024 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and was a sophomore majoring in political science at SJU.

Though she had only recently accepted a bid to join Tri Sigma, Siena was already known for her kindness and ability to bring joy and comfort to those around her. 

“Siena made connections with us all quickly, because she loved deeply. We know she will forever remain in our sisterhood and continuously be remembered through every act of love we will share with one another,” shared Chapter President Devin Duffy on behalf of the Delta Psi Chapter.

Tri Sigma’s national staff has been working with local volunteers and the Chapter President to ensure chapter members receive the support they need during this time.

“In this time of great sadness, may our members at the Delta Psi Chapter find strength and comfort in each other and the bonds of sisterhood,” said National President Lauren Moran. “As we honor Siena’s memory, we also mourn for those who loved her.”

A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. David the King Parish in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the 2024 Memorial Scholarship Fund at Notre Dame High School, 601 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, NJ, 08648. Her obituary may be read here.
