Tri Sigma Mentor Collective

Whether you're looking for guidance or ready to give it, the Tri Sigma Mentor Collective connects collegiate members and alumnae through meaningful one-on-one mentorship.

Tri Sigma Mentor Collective was made possible thanks to generous funding from the Tri Sigma Foundation. This program is part of the Tradewinds Career & Connections Network. Click here to view other offerings.

Collegiate members aren’t looking for a year-long formal mentorship—they’re looking for a trusted sister to connect with for support when they need it. As a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with collegiate members and provide the support they need as they navigate college and decisions about their future.

Whether you’re a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, your experiences, insights, and encouragement can help a collegiate member navigate her own journey with confidence. You don’t need to have all the answers—you just need to be willing to listen, encourage, and share your perspective.

Benefits

Mentors will lend their expertise, expand leadership and coaching skills, gain insights from future leaders, and share lessons they’ve learned along the way to make a lasting impact on a sister’s future.

Time Commitment

This is a flexible opportunity designed to work with your schedule. Mentors will work with their mentees to establish a meeting cadence and format that works best for them, whether it’s texting,  Zoom, phone calls, or even meeting in-person if you’re local!

Mentorships last for one semester. At the end of the semester, you’ll have the option to continue with your current mentee or get matched to a new mentee. Visit the FAQ for more information.

Training & Resources

Mentors will participate in a quick onboarding program prior to being matched with a mentee. This ensures you're prepared with the knowledge and resources needed to support collegiate members and are confident in using the Mentor Collective platform to communicate.

Mentors will also have access to resources curated by Tri Sigma and Mentor Collective that they can share with their mentee as needed. Learn more.

FAQ

“I'm really excited to have someone there for me. It's nice knowing that I'm not completely alone and hopefully can be someone I can reach out to if I'm having a hard time in school or other activities.”

"My mentor helped me answer the question of how to form strong relationships with my professors by giving me an actionable strategy to having strong, purposeful visits to their office hours.”

"My mentor has been an amazing help in my life; she makes me realize and see things more clearly.”

The Tri Sigma Mentor Collective enhances the member experience by connecting collegiate members with alumnae mentors for meaningful one-on-one relationships focused on personal growth, career readiness, leadership development, and lifelong sisterhood.

Whether you're a collegiate member seeking guidance for what's next or an alumna looking for a meaningful way to give back, participation in the Tri Sigma Mentor Collective creates connections that benefit both the mentor and mentee.

How it Works

Collegiate members will be matched with an alumna mentor based on common interests, background, academic pursuits, or professional aspirations. Interested participants—both students and mentors—should register and complete an online survey. This will help facilitate meaningful mentorship parings based on interests and experiences. Through our partnership with Mentor Collective, mentors will receive training and resources for even greater impact.
