Sigma Sigma Sigma’s success is highly dependent on effective volunteers. Under staff direction, and in order to meet the organizational goals as outlined in the strategic plan, Sigma Sigma Sigma volunteer roles and responsibilities are essential for the success of our members, collegiate and alumnae chapters and the National Organization. Volunteer recruitment, training, evaluation and recognition will be provided to ensure our volunteers’ experience is successful and personally enriching. This plan provides the framework for the required increase in volunteer effectiveness, as well as developing a strong and cohesive partnership between the volunteers and staff that is necessary to support the 2012-2016 strategic plan.
The Sigma Sigma Sigma Volunteer Enrichment Plan (VEP) focuses on four primary areas:
- Recruitment and placement
- Training and development
- Evaluation
- Recognition
