The generosity of our donors has positioned the TRI SIGMA FOUNDATION as a leading source of support for the educational and leadership programs of the National Organization, as well as the scholastic and philanthropic pursuits of its members. While we work to meet today’s needs, we are also transforming to meet tomorrow’s – cementing our place in the hearts of Sigmas both now and in the years to come.

We are committed to practicing good stewardship with all funds entrusted to us, and want to take a moment to walk you through our expenses. Like most nonprofits, Tri Sigma Foundation classifies expenses in three categories: program expenses, fundraising expenses, and administrative expenses.

Our program expenses are the funds used to help achieve measurable results for the National Organization, her members, and Sigma’s philanthropic priorities. Program expenses not only include the dollars awarded to the National Organization for education and leadership programs, scholarship and grant recipients, but also the costs associated with effectively staffing and executing the programs. In Fiscal Year 2014-2015, program expenses totaled $390,637.

Administrative expenses include those for financial management, including our audit; technology and systems that ensure organization efficiency; overall planning and coordination of Tri Sigma Foundation’s work; and general infrastructure costs. In Fiscal Year 2014-2015, those expenses totaled $155,799.

To secure the annual support necessary to meet the National Organization’s most pressing educational and leadership needs, our annual fundraising efforts include direct mail, telemarketing, and donor outreach. Those expenses totaled $94,189.
