Foundation Welcomes New Staff Member

Chris Smithhisler, Iota Alpha

It is with great excitement that we announce the newest addition to the Foundation team. Join us in welcoming Chris Smithhisler as our Advancement Officer.

Having previously served the Sorority for 9 years as the Assistant Vice President for Education and Training, Chris remains dedicated to empowering strong, compassionate and supportive women. Also, she has most recently served as the Director of Chapter Programs for because I said I would, a nonprofit dedicated to making and keeping promises for the betterment of humanity.

“The Foundation helps Tri Sigmas change the world on a daily basis. I am a firm believer in our powerful mantra of ‘to receive much you must give much.’  I am excited to continue to live this through my work with the Foundation. We will continue to touch the lives of our members and donors through empowering scholarship, empowering leaders, and supporting children,” Smithhisler said.

The Advancement Officer is involved in supporting our donors to achieve their philanthropic dreams and positively impact women, children and families. She will also serve as the staff liaison for our national partnership with March of Dimes. Chris will report to Meghan Paden, Executive Director.

Paden shares, “Chris’s professional experience and Tri Sigma knowledge will be an asset to the Foundation, helping us to grow and take on new challenges. She will be the much needed staff member serving our major donors, with her primary focus on helping them reach their philanthropic goals.”

Chris is an alumna of Tri Sigma, as a member of our Iota Alpha chapter of alumnae initiates. She lives in Valley City, North Dakota with her husband Pete and two pugs. She has twin daughters who are in their third year of college. She is an avid reader, art enthusiast, aspiring baker, and has a passion for sharing her love of character education.

If you would like to welcome Chris to the Foundation team, you can email her at csmithhisler@trisigma.org or send her a Violet Tribute at violettributes.com.
