Sigma Sigma Sigma Invited to Colonize at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas

Woodstock, VA – April 3, 2012 – Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority (“Tri Sigma”) announces the formal invitation to join the values based, supportive community at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas in the fall of 2012. Colony recruitment will be staff and volunteer driven, and will include a values-based conversation with all potential members.

After multiple conversations and a full presentation, we are pleased to announce an invitation to colonize at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas (“UNLV”). Tri Sigma’s colonization at UNLV will reflect Tri Sigma’s comfort with innovation and the needs of a sophisticated student, and will be supported by a robust and fully trained colonization team. A focus on direct service experiences and one-on-one interviews will offer a unique experience to women interested in exploring membership in Tri Sigma. A student-supported focus group, comprised of current University of Nevada - Las Vegas fraternity and sorority members, will also play a role in building key relationships within the Las Vegas community.

Jane Neitz-Singleton, Assistant Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life/Multicultural Programs within the Office of Civic Engagement and Diversity and Leadership at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas said, "UNLV's Panhellenic Council is thrilled to announce that we have selected Sigma Sigma Sigma as the seventh member of our Panhellenic sorority community.  We believe that we have found a perfect match for the values, traditions and aspirations of our Greek community within the sisterhood of Tri Sigma."

Tri Sigma members enjoy experiences that are powerful, character-building, fun, and transformative. Tri Sigma is committed to developing character-driven leaders using our core values of wisdom, power, faith, hope and love.
